The Lodge at Kimiwan

We were in the area for a hunting trip and looked up a bunch of local hotels. This one seemed to be the nicest one around, and did not disappoint. Nice cozy, clean rooms. There was a provided breakfast, which was nice. My only complaint is the front office/coffee machine isn't open until quite late in the morning. Overall great stay, we will be back

What a fantastic stay, staff were friendly and accommodating and the rooms were nicely updated and very clean. The smell of fresh buns baking during check in and the premade breakfast was the icing on the cake! Looking forward to staying again!

Had a lovely stay here! The rooms were super cute, comfy and clean. You can tell they put in the effort to keep it nice and up to date. I would definitely stay here again when I’m in the area.

We had an amazing stay at the Lodge. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We arrived late, and to our surprise, they called us personally to make sure we were accommodated properly. Something you don’t experience often anymore. What really stood out was the thoughtfulness. We walked into our room to find a few surprises waiting for us: candy, bottled water, and even breakfast sandwiches for the whole family. It was such a kind gesture that made our arrival feel special. The room itself was spotless and beautifully finished with a warm, rustic look that instantly made us feel at home. It came fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, and dishes which was perfect for traveling as a family. This is a true gem in Northern Alberta. It’s welcoming, well cared for, and full of thoughtful touches. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Such a wonderful place! Felt cozy and like home! From initial booking and checking in, the staff and owners make you feel like you’re home! The rooms are newly redone and the bed and linens were perfectly new, clean and comfortable! The bed is so comfortable, I’m surprised I left at all! Details large and small like the werthers candy on your pillow, and heatable breakfast in the fridge, start and end each stay day with a reminder of the care and attention given! Highly recommend not only travellers but this to be a location to come for a longer stay!

I've been staying at this location for many years. It had gone down hill up until this last renovation. The rooms are nice and comfortable and the staff very warm and friendly.

We only stopped here at the store. It is small but they have great cinnamon rolls made on the premises. They also have a variety of other foods.

Right along the highway. Easy to access. Rooms were spotless and smelled very clean. Beds were a bit soft and I would suggest to ask for a couple extra pillows as there are only 2 on the bed. The complimentary breakfast in the fridge was a nice touch. The only thing that would have been better with the room is if they had insulated between the other rooms and hallway better. You can hear everything between the suites. I could hear my neighbours alarm going off twice.
